Simpson 2 x 6 Galvanized Face-Mount Joist Hanger LU26

The LU is designed for joist-to-header installation in wood-framed construction. This face-mount hanger features speed prongs to temporarily position and secure the connector for easier and faster installation. The economical LU hanger is value engineered for strength.

Installation

• Install with 0.162 in. x 3-1/2 in. nails in the header and 0.148 in. x 1-1/2 in. nails in the joist; #9 x 1-1/2 in. Strong-Drive SD screws may also be used
• Joists sloped up to 1/4:12 achieve table loads
• When nailing into solid sawn carrying member’s end grain, the allowable load is adjusted by a factor of 0.67
