The Grove – Single-Point Infrared Thermometer MLX90614 is a medical-grade, high-precision infrared temperature sensor module. Featuring a single-point sensing design and using the MLX90614 sensor, this module enables non-contact temperature measurements with exceptional accuracy 0.2C in the body temperature range and 0.5C across a broader range.

With a wide measurement range from -70C to 380C and a 35 field of view (FOV), the sensor is ideal for medical, industrial, and smart system applications. Thanks to the I2C Grove interface, integration with a wide variety of microcontrollers (MCUs) is seamless and straightforward.

How It Works

Infrared thermometers detect temperature by measuring the amount of infrared radiation emitted by an object. The Grove MLX90614 module captures this radiation using a highly sensitive IR sensor and converts it into a temperature reading.
