"The industry standard for extreme heat environmentsengineered with high-performance PTFE and glass shielding for maximum reliability in temperatures up to 250C."
The 8 AWG TGGT wire is a specialized high-temperature conductor designed for environments where standard silicone or XLPE insulation would melt or fail. It is the primary choice for internal wiring in commercial ovens, industrial heaters, and aerospace equipment. By combining PTFE (Teflon) tapes with a double layer of glass braiding, TGGT offers a unique combination of chemical resistance and extreme thermal stability.
250C Thermal Performance:Engineered to operate continuously in environments reaching 482F, making it the industry standard for commercial cooking and heating equipment.
Nickel-Coated Copper Conductor:Features 2% nickel plating per ASTM B355 to prevent oxidation and maintain electrical integrity at temperatures where standard tin-plated copper would degrade.
Triple-Layer Shielding:Features PTFE tape insulation covered by a glass yarn braid and an overall fiberglass jacket, offering a rugged defense against both extreme heat and mechanical wear.
Superior Chemical Resistance:The PTFE component provides an excellent barrier against oils, solvents, and industrial chemicals, preventing insulation breakdown in harsh manufacturing zones.
ENGINEERING OVERVIEW: 8 AWG TGGT 600V
APPLICATION: Commercial ovens, industrial heaters, kilns, and high-temperature appliance leads.
VOLTAGE: 600 Volts.
UL LISTING: UL 5256.
CONDUCTORS: Flexible (133 Strands) soft drawn 2% nickel-coated copper (per ASTM B355).
INSULATION: PTFE (Teflon) tape with a fiberglass moisture barrier.
JACKET: Braided fiberglass with a high-temperature finish.
TEMPERATURE: 250C (482F).
NOMINAL OD:0.21 inches (5.33 mm)
Primary Oven Feeders: Main internal power leads for massive commercial deck ovens and rotary rack ovens.
Heavy-Duty Immersion Heaters: Wiring for high-wattage liquid and chemical heating elements.
Industrial Kiln Leads: Providing reliable main power feeds in high-ambient heat zones for ceramic and glass production.
Plastic Extrusion Feeders: Power leads for large-scale extrusion barrel heaters.
Smelting & Heat Treating: Used for equipment controls and power operating near metal melting stations.
Technical Note:All values are nominal and subject to industry tolerances and manufacturer corrections. Specifications are subject to change without notice. It is the buyers responsibility to verify that all materials meet the specific requirements of the project and comply with local electrical codes.
