The E-Z Base is part of a Simpson Strong-Tieline of products designed to help make reinforcing fence posts simple and economical. The E-Z product line offers solutions for a variety of fence post projects. This retrofit post base allows easy installation of 4×4 wood posts on existing concrete.

Installation

• Attach post to E-Z Base with (8) #9 x 1 1/2″ or (8) #10 x 1 1/2″ Strong-Drive SD Connector screws. Install on concrete with (4) 1/2″-diameter anchors.
• Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent rotation about the base and therefore are not recommended for non-top-supported installations such as fences or unbraced carports.
